Photo guide
What makes a good photo to send.
A phone camera is all you need. These four things make the biggest difference to the finished visual.
- Daylight, no flash
- An overcast day is ideal. Avoid low sun shining straight into the lens.
- One straight on, one at an angle
- Stand square to the house or garden for one shot, then move about 45° to the side for the next.
- The whole area in frame
- Step back until every edge of the job is in shot, with a little of what’s around it. Hold the phone level.
- Send the originals
- Email or message the photos themselves, not screenshots, so we get the full detail.

Concepts, clearly labelled
Honest visuals keep quotes honest.
Every visual carries a small label saying it’s an illustrative concept. It shows your customer the idea so they can say yes with confidence. The finished job comes down to your workmanship and the materials on the day, and the label keeps everyone’s expectations in the right place.
We never present a visual as a photo of finished work. We use your customer’s photos only to make their visual, and delete them 90 days after delivery.

Questions
What trades ask about visuals.
Can I put it in my quote?
Yes, that’s what it’s for. Each visual comes as high-resolution images with your logo on, ready to drop into a quote, an email or a message to your customer.
Who owns the image?
You can use the visuals you’ve paid for however you like for that job: in the quote, in messages, and on your own website and social media. We don’t show them anywhere without asking you first.
What if my customer wants changes?
Changes are included: one round on a £49 visual and two on a big job. Tell us what your customer wants different and we’ll update the views.
How accurate is it?
It’s a concept, not a technical drawing or a guarantee of the finished job. It will be close to what you’re quoting, but the finish depends on the materials and the site on the day, which is why every visual is labelled as a concept.
What happens to my customer’s photos?
We use them only to make that customer’s visual, and delete them 90 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them.
